April 2, 2026 | MaRS Discovery District, Toronto
On April 2, the Tailored Genes team attended BioTech Connect at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, joining hundreds of researchers, laboratory professionals, biotechnology companies, and industry suppliers for an afternoon dedicated to scientific collaboration and innovation. BioTech Connect events are designed to connect life science suppliers with researchers across Canada, creating opportunities to explore new technologies, exchange ideas, and build meaningful partnerships.
For Tailored Genes, events like BioTech Connect are about much more than exhibiting our capabilities. They provide an opportunity to better understand the evolving needs of the research community while sharing how high-quality viral vector manufacturing can help accelerate gene and cell therapy programs.
Throughout the event, our team met with researchers from academic institutions, hospitals, and biotechnology organizations who are working to advance discoveries in gene therapy, cell therapy, immunology, and translational research. Conversations centered around improving reproducibility, reducing development bottlenecks, and finding reliable partners who can consistently deliver high-performing AAV and lentiviral vectors.
These discussions reinforce a trend we’re seeing across the industry: researchers are looking beyond simple production capacity. They’re looking for partners who understand the science behind successful vector development and who can deliver quality, consistency, and responsive support throughout the life of a project.
Participating in BioTech Connect is one of the many ways Tailored Genes stays connected to the scientific community. By engaging directly with researchers and innovators, we’re able to better anticipate industry needs, strengthen collaborations, and continue supporting projects that have the potential to transform patient care.
We’d like to thank the BioTech Connect team for organizing another outstanding event and everyone who stopped by to meet with us. We look forward to continuing the conversations we started in Toronto and supporting the exciting work happening across Canada’s biotechnology sector.
Interested in discussing your next gene or cell therapy project? We’d love to connect.
